What is PiYo™?
PiYo started out as a fusion of pilates and yoga. A mind/body experience class. But it’s really evolved into much more than that. It’s yoga for hyper people moving at a quicker pace to faster tempo music than traditional yoga. It’s got a true strength training element to it using your own body weight as resistance. It will help with muscle tone, flexibility, and even has a cardio effect.
Turbo is probably the most well known of Chalene Johnson’s formats. It started in the days when Kick boxing and Tae Bo were becoming so popular. It incorporates the styles of kick boxing and capoeira (Brazilian martial arts), but does it in an easy to follow, safe format for groups that may have no martial arts background. It is constantly evolving to stay with current fitness trends and it is always a party.
